Inquiry based learning
Middle Years Programme
Lady Andal School is a candidate school for the MYP and DP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.
Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes visit http://www.ibo.org.
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) is tailored for students aged 11 to 16, offering a robust framework that champions creative, critical, and reflective thinking. Emphasizing intellectual challenge, the MYP encourages students to forge meaningful connections between traditional academic disciplines and real-world applications.
At Lady Andal School, we nurture essential competencies in communication, intercultural understanding, and global engagement—core tenets of the IB philosophy—equipping young learners with the qualities needed to thrive as global leaders in an interconnected world.
The MYP requires at least 50 hours of teaching time for each subject group, in each year of the programme. In the final two years of the programme, carefully-defined subject group flexibility allows students to meet local requirements and personal learning goals.

Each unit of work that the students engage with will be rooted in one of the global contexts:
