Our Founder Correspondent Mrs. C. Prema Kumar started Lady Andal School 32 years ago with the idea of creating a "happy atmosphere" where children could experience the joy of learning without being tied down by a rigid curriculum or being labelled by stereotypes.
The vision of our School focuses on the "all round development of the child emphasising on individual excellence". This vision is the foundation on which the edifice of Lady Andal School is built.
Over the years, it has been our endeavour to ensure that the vision of the School remains as the focus of all activities, whether in academics, sports or other extra-curricular activities.
Our primary aim has been to prepare the students to face the world with confidence. With the world changing at such a rapid pace we felt the need to adopt a curriculum that would help our students embrace the challenges that this millennium has to offer. The International Baccalaureate is one such internationally recognised curriculum which prepares students for the challenges that lie ahead.
The Inquiry based approach to learning enables pupils to embark on the learning process with creativity, open mindedness and flexibility thus providing ample scope for every learner to discover their strengths in their pursuit of individual excellence.
The vision of IB is to "develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect". This again reiterates the vision of Lady Andal School which focuses on developing general and social life skills in students thus shape them into socially responsible citizens.
I am sure that the students and the teachers will embark on this new journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
